X = XXL [Vol. 14 No. 9 November 2010 £3.95 pp 116]
Describe it: American rap magazine apparently
Would I buy again: no
Time taken to read: 15 minutes I'll never get back
Dullest article: all of them. This really was dull. I struggled to think of anything to say about it. So, instead I looked at the adverts as they show what the true target audience is into (all those advertising agencies have spent a lot more time thinking about this than me ;-). So - this is what the magazine is really about:
sparkly jewellery, shiny car wheels, clothes your dad would think were old-fasioned (see Christmas jumper), and sex-phone lines & the sub-viagra market at the back.
Alternatives: Nope. There really weren't.
Bought from: a friendly but formal man in a London newsagent. I bought 6 magazines in one go. I debated adding a pack of Lucky Strikes (blue) - they were £6.75; cheaper than the railway station where they were £6.95, but more expensive than the non-London petrol station where they were only £6.45. I travelled through the midlands and to the north of England, where they didn't sell them at all.

[in case you were wondering... this watch costs about $24,000 but you can customise it by adding as many sparkly bits as you like!].
