U = Uncovered [Nov/Dec 2010 £3.40 pp 100]
Says of itself "We tackle issues other magazines fear to; mental health and well-being, sex, sociology, psychology, news, celebrities and much more."
Would I buy again: no
Time taken to read: 1.5 hours of solid reading
I learnt: nothing
Interesting thing (to me at least :) #1: even though I read this cover-to-cover it was a bland experience - same with Viz. I read it but I imagine if you were looking at my facial expression it would be unchanging. There wouldn't be a smile, a laugh, a frown, or even a slightly raised eyebrow.
Interesting thing #2: there was a significant gap in their advice in one article - I might have to send a strongly worded email ;-)

Alternatives: not many
Bought from: a friendly but formal man in a London newsagent. I bought 6 magazines in one go - and flicked through them on the train observed by a Guardian-reading grey-haired woman sitting opposite me.
